Citroen C3X Launched in India at Rs 7.90 Lakh: Check What’s New

French automaker Citroen has today launched the new X-Series of its hatchback C3 in India. Introducing the revamped C3 range in the country the company also shared that the naturally aspirated petrol range is now available with CNG kit for an additional cost of Rs 93,000 and the Halo 360 camera is available for an additional cost of Rs 25,000 for the C3X Shine variants.

The company has launched the C3X with a starting price of Rs 7.90 lakh, with this update the C3 range in the country now starts from Rs 5.25 lakh. This also indicates a fall in the starting price of the C3 range by Rs 98,000. The new C3 range is now being offered in 7 variants in an ex-showroom price range of Rs 5.25 to 9.89 lakh.

The company has also commenced bookings for the new C3 range across the country. Bookings can be made via the company authorized dealerships. The deliveries for the same are scheduled to commence from the first week of September.

The new Citroen C3 retains the silhouette of the previous model but gets notable design changes including LED projector headlamps, LED projector front fog lamps, signature split LED DRL design, LED interior lighting, Type-C USB port and more. It is now being offered 7 colour options including 5 monotone colours - Polar White, Steel Grey, Cosmo Blue, Perla Nera Black, Garnet Red and 2 dual tone colours - Cosmo Blue with Polar White roof and Garnet Red with Nera Black roof. This new model is now also being offered with three interior options - C3 Live with Injected Grey, C3 Feel with Anodized Grey and C3X Shine with Metropolitan leatherette wrapped IP.

The new C3 range retains the engine options of the previous model and continues to be offered with a 1.0L 3-cyl NA petrol engine producing 80.87 bhp and 115 Nm of torque and a 1.0L 3-cyl turbo petrol engine producing 108.49 bhp and 205 Nm of torque. The company also claims that the turbo model can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in under 10 seconds.

The newly introduced Citroen C3 range comes loaded with tech and safety features like - 10.25-inch infotainment system, Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 6-Airbags, ESP, ABS, EBD, Hill Hold Assist, ISOFIX mounts, TPMS, Perimetric Alarm, Optional 360 degree Halo camera and more.
