TVS Motor Company has unveiled the new Apache RTR 125 at EICMA 2026 in Milan, Italy. The motorcycle gets a liquid-cooled engine, a six-speed gearbox, premium suspension hardware and a 5-inch TFT display with connected features. Developed primarily for European markets, the new Apache RTR 125 could make its way to India next year.
The TVS Apache RTR 125 is designed for markets that follow A1 motorcycle licence regulations in Europe. The company is expected to commence sales in international markets first, while an India launch is anticipated in 2027. However, TVS Motor Company has not officially confirmed the India launch timeline.

TVS Apache RTR 125: Engine & Gearbox

The new Apache RTR 125 is powered by a 125cc, liquid-cooled, four-valve, DOHC engine that produces 14.7 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 12 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm.
The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and an assist-and-slipper clutch. The motorcycle also gets multiple ride modes, allowing riders to adjust power delivery according to riding conditions.

TVS Apache RTR 125: Design

The Apache RTR 125 features an aggressive streetfighter design with sharp bodywork, muscular tank extensions and a forward-biased stance. The motorcycle gets a rectangular LED projector headlamp, a flat handlebar with knuckle guards and a split-seat arrangement.
At the rear, it features a tri-split LED tail lamp setup. The motorcycle is built around a steel trellis frame, called the Synchro Stiff frame, paired with a cast swingarm.
Suspension duties are handled by a 41mm KYB inverted front fork and an adjustable rear monoshock. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, with a 100/80-17 front tyre and a 140/70-R17 rear tyre.
Braking is managed by a 300mm front disc with a radially mounted ByBre caliper and a 240mm rear disc. The motorcycle also gets dual-channel ABS.

TVS Apache RTR 125: Features

The new Apache RTR 125 gets a 5-inch colour TFT instrument display with Bluetooth connectivity, full-screen map mirroring and turn-by-turn navigation.
Other features include dedicated ride modes and hazard lamps. The combination of a liquid-cooled engine, inverted front fork, dual-channel ABS and connected technology makes the Apache RTR 125 a premium offering in the European 125cc motorcycle segment.

TVS Apache RTR 125: Expected India Launch & Price

TVS Motor Company has primarily developed the Apache RTR 125 for European markets, where it will cater to riders holding A1 motorcycle licences. The motorcycle is expected to arrive in India next year, although the company has not officially confirmed its launch timeline.
If launched in India, the Apache RTR 125 is likely to be positioned above conventional 125cc motorcycles. Its liquid-cooled engine, six-speed gearbox, premium suspension components and connected features could result in a higher price. In international markets, the motorcycle is expected to compete with premium 125cc offerings such as the KTM 125 Duke.
