Customer centricity has become extremely important for any company selling a product. At HPCL Presents Times Drive Auto Summit and Awards 2025, Amit Garg, Director of Marketing at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited stated that the motto of the company ‘Delivering Happiness’ isn’t just a motto, but it is a way of life.
Garg focusing on the customer experience, added that the customer isn’t just looking for a product but an experience. The company has been focusing on delivering cleaner fuel to its customers which would further lower carbon emissions. Furthermore, the company is blending 20% ethanol with gasoline which would significantly reduce the carbon footprint. In addition to that, Garg mentioned that HPCL, in collaboration with Volvo, is opening an outlet in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh which will provide hydrogen to the fuel cells.
The company is not only focused on fossil fuel-based mobility solutions but has diversified its product portfolio spanning across electric mobility solutions, liquified natural gas (LNG) and compressed natural gas (CNG), among others.
“We are almost present all over the country. We have more than 5,500 charging stations, among which there are 2,300 fast chargers which we are aiming to double next year. Additionally, we have an app ‘HP e-Charge' which enables a customer to spot the nearest HPCL charger. Furthermore, we have tie-ups with different original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for the charging infrastructure,” Garg stated.
In addition to that, the company has more than 2,000 CNG outlets and three LNG outlets, along with 28 CPG plants which are being worked upon by the company. Not only that but the company is actively participating in battery research in Bengaluru.
