VinFast VF MPV 7 EV Gets a Price Cut of Over 4 Lakh: Check New Price

VinFast has announced a substantial price reduction for its VF MPV 7 electric vehicle in the Indian market. Originally launched on April 15, 2026, with an ex-showroom price of Rs 24.49 lakh, the seven-seater MPV is now available for Rs 20.39 lakh. This adjustment represents a total price cut of Rs 4.1 lakh, a move that is now reflected on the manufacturer’s official website.

The decision to lower the price follows a period of modest sales performance for the model. During the first half of the 2027 fiscal year, spanning from April to September 2026, the VF MPV 7 recorded 520 units sold. This figure accounted for approximately 3.91 percent of VinFast’s total Indian sales of 13,307 units during that period. By contrast, the company’s commercial-focused Limo Green variant, which also utilizes the VF MPV 7 platform for ride-hailing services, led the brand's sales with 7,192 units.

Technical Specifications and Market Context

The VinFast VF MPV 7 is designed to accommodate up to seven occupants across three rows. Measuring 4,740 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2,840 mm, the vehicle features a minimalist exterior design and a large window area. Inside, the cabin is highlighted by a 10.1-inch central display and offers two interior theme options. Cargo capacity is rated at 126 litres with all three rows in use, which can be expanded to 1,240 litres.

Under the floor, the MPV houses a 60.13 kWh battery pack that provides a claimed range of 517 km on a single charge. The powertrain consists of an electric motor producing 204 PS and 280 Nm of torque, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 9 seconds. According to the manufacturer, the battery supports DC fast charging, allowing for a 10 to 70 percent state-of-charge replenishment in approximately 30 minutes.

This price adjustment positions the VF MPV 7 more competitively against other electric seven-seaters currently available in India. For comparison, the Mahindra XEV 9S starts at Rs 20.65 lakh, while the MG Tomahawk EV begins at Rs 19.49 lakh. The BYD eMax 7, which is imported as a direct unit, carries a starting price of Rs 27.9 lakh. As of September 2026, VinFast remains the fourth best-selling electric vehicle manufacturer in India, trailing behind JSW MG Motor, Mahindra Auto, and Tata Motors.
