Hero Vida UBX 06 Electric Motorcycle Debuts at EICMA 2026: Features, Range and More

Hero MotoCorp has finally entered the electric motorcycle space with the unveiling of its new Vida UBX 06 at EICMA 2026 in Milan. India's largest two-wheeler manufacturer has so far focused on electric scooters under its Vida brand, but the new motorcycle marks an expansion of its electric vehicle portfolio. The UBX 06 takes inspiration from supermoto motorcycles and features a distinctive design along with several modern features.

Speaking at the motorcycle's global debut, Pawan Munjal, Chairman of Hero MotoCorp, said that the UBX 06 draws inspiration from the supermoto segment. The company has not revealed complete technical specifications or details about its launch timeline yet.

The Vida UBX 06 gets a sharp and sporty design inspired by supermoto motorcycles. At the front, it features an LED projector headlamp surrounded by uniquely designed LED daytime running lights (DRLs). The DRLs have a viewfinder-style shape, giving the motorcycle a distinctive front appearance.

It also gets knuckle guards, which are commonly seen on adventure and off-road-focused motorcycles. The overall design suggests that Hero is aiming for a sporty electric motorcycle with some styling elements borrowed from the supermoto segment.

Hero MotoCorp has not shared the battery capacity, motor output or riding range of the UBX 06 yet. However, the motorcycle gets a large fixed battery pack and a mid-drive electric motor.

Power is sent to the rear wheel through a chain final drive. This setup is different from the hub-mounted motors seen on several electric two-wheelers and could help deliver a more conventional motorcycle riding experience.

The company is expected to reveal more details about the electric powertrain at a later stage.

The electric motorcycle gets an upside-down front fork and a rear monoshock for suspension duties. Braking is handled by disc brakes at both ends. The motorcycle also appears to get a single-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS), although Hero MotoCorp has not confirmed this detail yet.

In terms of features, the UBX 06 gets a large full-colour digital instrument display. The control switchgear for the display is positioned on the left handlebar. Another notable feature is cruise control, which is not commonly offered on electric motorcycles in this segment.

With the UBX 06, Hero MotoCorp is preparing to expand its Vida electric vehicle range beyond scooters. However, the company has not announced its launch timeline, pricing or availability details. More information about its battery capacity, performance, riding range and other specifications is expected to emerge closer to its market launch.
