Land Rover Classic Adds Defender OCTA-Inspired Colours to Classic Defender V8 Line
Land Rover Classic has introduced new colour and interior options for the Classic Defender V8, allowing buyers to match the look of the modern Defender OCTA. The updated choices include new paint finishes, revised interior materials and added equipment options.
Land Rover Classic Adds Defender OCTA-Inspired Colours to Classic Defender V8 Line
Land Rover Classic announced that the Classic Defender V8 can now be built in any colour and trim combination available on the current Defender OCTA. The update includes five new exterior colours: Petra Copper, Faroe Green, Sargasso Blue, Narvik Black and Patagonia White.
The vehicles continue to be offered in 90 or 110 Station Wagon and 90 Soft Top formats. Existing shades such as Borasco Grey, Carpathian Grey and Charente Grey remain available. Each vehicle goes through an extensive paint process of about 300 hours and all colours can be ordered in gloss or a satin finish.
Updated Interior Choices
For the first time, interior materials from the Defender OCTA have been added to the Classic Defender V8 programme. Options now include Ultrafabrics PU in Khaki Green, Light Cloud and Lunar, as well as Burnt Sienna semi-aniline leather. Ebony leather is also offered to match OCTA Black models.
Buyers can work with Land Rover Classic’s design team to match colour placement across areas such as the steering wheel, dashboard, levers, door panels and headlining. Recaro sports seats with heating are also available.
Additional Design and Mechanical Features
New exterior details include a gloss-black radiator grille modelled on the OCTA’s design and a chopped carbon-fibre bonnet script.
The vehicles are built under the Works Bespoke programme using 2012–2016 donor Defenders, which are restored and fitted with a 399.4bhp 5.0L V8 engine and an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. Mechanical updates include revised suspension components, upgraded steering and larger brakes with 335mm front and 300mm rear discs, paired with four-piston calipers.
Personalisation and Pricing
Customers can choose from infotainment upgrades, a crystal lighting pack and five wheel designs offered in 11 finishes across 16-inch and 18-inch sizes. Additional accessories and personalisation options are also available. Pricing for the Classic Defender V8 starts at £190,000 before local taxes and includes a one-year, unlimited-mileage warranty.
Dominic Elms, Director, Land Rover Classic, said, "Defender OCTA is the most dynamically accomplished and toughest Defender ever made, while the Classic Defender V8 remains hugely characterful and sought after. Ever since Defender OCTA’s launch in 2024 we’ve seen an appetite from our clients wanting to commission a matching Classic Defender V8, which has inspired our Works Bespoke team to work with innovative paint and material technologies to create the ultimate Defender pairing."
