Land Rover Discovery Landmark Edition Introduced; Line-up Gets New Colours and Feature Updates
Land Rover has expanded the Discovery SUV range with the introduction of the new Landmark Edition. The new variant is positioned between the entry-level S and the top-spec Tempest trims. Along with the new edition, the company has also updated the Discovery line-up with fresh colour options and additional features. Although the Landmark Edition is already listed on JLR India's website, its price is yet to be announced.
Key Highlights:
- Land Rover has introduced the new Discovery Landmark Edition, positioned between the S and Tempest variants, with pricing yet to be announced in India.
- The Landmark Edition gets exclusive styling updates.
- The Discovery line-up also receives new feature updates, while the 3.0-litre diesel engine producing 350 hp and 700 Nm remains unchanged.
Landmark Edition Gets Exclusive Cosmetic Upgrades
The new Landmark Edition mainly brings visual enhancements over the standard Discovery variants. It comes with an exclusive Tasman Blue metallic paint, inspired by the original Clearwater Blue shade used on the first Discovery launched in 1989.
The SUV also features a Graphite Atlas finish on the grille, front fender vents and Discovery badging at the front and rear. The front and rear skid plates are finished in Carpathian Grey, giving the SUV a more distinctive look.
Land Rover Discovery Landmark: Interior Features
Inside the cabin, the Landmark Edition gets unique branding and premium touches. It features a mountain logo on the scuff plates, centre console, B-pillar inserts and puddle lamp projectors.
The interior also receives brushed aluminium trim with Landmark branding, while the dashboard and door pads are finished in Tech Velour faux suede. Other highlights include a panoramic sunroof and a refrigerated centre console.
Tempest Variant Also Updated
Land Rover has also refreshed the top-spec Tempest variant with a new Borasco Grey exterior paint option. In addition, every Tempest model now comes with a matte protective film as standard, regardless of the exterior colour selected.
Across the Discovery range, the SUV now gets a new Dark Agate Grey finish for the 21-inch alloy wheels. A driver attention monitoring system has also been added to all variants.
Engine and Off-Road Capability Remain Unchanged
Mechanically, the Discovery remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by a 3.0-litre diesel engine that produces 350 hp and 700 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system.
The SUV also retains Land Rover's Terrain Response 2 system, offering multiple driving and terrain modes. It has a 900 mm water-wading capacity and can tow up to 3,500 kg, making it one of the most capable luxury SUVs in its segment.
