Mahindra 15 Aug Event: What to Expect - BE 07, Scorpio Getaway Pickup and More
Mahindra has built a tradition of making headlines around Independence Day and 2026 is set to be no different. Over the years, the automaker has used its August 15 events to showcase new SUVs, concept models, future technologies and even new platforms. This year, Mahindra is preparing another major showcase on August 15, with several important models and concepts expected to take centre stage.
Key Highlights
- Mahindra will introduce the new BE 6 Sporteq Edition on August 15, 2026.
- The
Scorpio N pickup truck could make its closer-to-production debut. - The
Vision S is expected to preview Mahindra’s upcoming sub-4m SUV. - The
BE 07 could be showcased as a larger electric SUV positioned above the BE 6.
Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Edition
The biggest confirmed reveal for the August 15 event is the Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Edition. The automaker has already released a teaser for the special edition and confirmed that it will be introduced on Independence Day.
The Sporteq Edition will become the third special edition of the electric SUV, following the Batman Edition and Formula E Edition. Mahindra has not revealed all the details yet, but the teaser gives a glimpse of its cabin.
The SUV can be seen with a triple-screen dashboard layout, comprising a digital instrument cluster, central touchscreen infotainment system and a dedicated display for the front passenger.
More details about the Sporteq Edition, including its exterior changes, features and pricing, are expected to be announced at the event.
Scorpio N Pickup
Mahindra has officially teased the Scorpio N Pik Up and confirmed its debut on August 14. The pickup has been spotted testing on Indian roads for some time, with test vehicles featuring a single-cab body and an extended load bed.
It remains to be seen whether the production-spec model will retain the same configuration. Mahindra is expected to give the pickup a design inspired by the Scorpio N SUV, while adding more rugged elements to suit its utility-focused character.
The Scorpio N pickup is expected to use the same engine options as the SUV. These could include the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 203hp and the 2.2-litre diesel engine developing 175hp. Both manual and automatic gearbox options could be offered, while four-wheel drive is also expected.
Mahindra Vision S
The Vision S could also return to the spotlight at Mahindra’s August 15 event. The concept was originally showcased during the company’s 2025 Independence Day event as one of four SUV concepts based on Mahindra’s NU_IQ platform.
The Vision S is expected to preview a new sub-4m SUV that could be offered with both internal combustion engine and electric powertrain options. The model has already been spotted testing on Indian roads multiple times.
Mahindra could showcase a more production-ready version of the Vision S this year. The production model is expected to arrive towards the end of 2026 or early 2027.
Mahindra BE 07
The BE 07 is another model that could make an appearance on August 15. Positioned above the BE 6 in Mahindra’s born-electric SUV range, the BE 07 has already been spotted testing in India.
Recent spy shots have provided a first look at the SUV’s interior. Like the XEV 9e and XEV 9S, the BE 07 appears to feature a three-screen dashboard layout, including a dedicated display for the front passenger.
Unlike the BE 6’s coupe-SUV styling, the BE 07 will have a more upright SUV profile. The test vehicle has been spotted with a taller body, flush-fitting door handles and large alloy wheels.
The more upright design could also translate into greater cabin space. The rear section appears less tapered than the BE 6, which could provide additional room for passengers and luggage.
Mahindra’s August 15 events have traditionally been used to showcase the company’s future product and technology plans. With the BE 6 Sporteq Edition already confirmed, the Scorpio N pickup, Vision S and BE 07 could make this year’s event particularly important.
While Mahindra has not confirmed the complete list of models that will be showcased, more details are expected to emerge closer to the Independence Day event.
