Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Edition India Launch on August 15: Here's What to Expect
Mahindra is preparing to launch the BE 6 Sporteq Edition in India on August 15th 2026. The company has already released teasers of the upcoming electric SUV, revealing some of the changes that will set it apart from the standard BE 6. The most significant update is expected to be inside the cabin, with the Sporteq Edition getting a new triple-screen setup. Here is what to expect from the Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Edition ahead of its India launch.
Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Edition: What To Expect
The BE 6 Sporteq Edition is expected to bring changes primarily to the design and equipment rather than the mechanical package. The triple-screen dashboard, revised centre console and new interior theme are likely to be its main differentiators. Mahindra will reveal the complete details, including specifications, features, variants, pricing and availability, when the BE 6 Sporteq Edition is officially launched in India on August 15th.
Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Edition: Triple-Screen Setup Expected
The biggest update on the BE 6 Sporteq Edition will be the dashboard layout. The teaser shows three screens positioned across the dashboard - one for the driver, one for the infotainment system and a third display for the front passenger.
The additional passenger-side screen will be the key difference compared with the standard BE 6. Mahindra is also expected to make changes to the dashboard design to accommodate the third display.
The triple-screen layout is already seen on some of Mahindra's larger electric SUVs and will bring the BE 6 in line with the brand's newer cabin technology.
Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Edition: Expected Interior
The BE 6 Sporteq Edition is expected to get a different interior treatment, with the teaser showing a black-and-tan colour combination.
Mahindra also appears to have revised the centre console. The updated layout seems to have a more open design compared with the standard BE 6. More details about the upholstery, dashboard finish and other cabin changes are expected to be announced at the launch.
Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Edition: Expected Exterior
The Sporteq Edition will also get cosmetic changes to distinguish it from the standard BE 6. The teaser shows the electric SUV with a new exterior finish along with contrasting elements. Mahindra could also introduce special badging and other visual changes as part of the Sporteq package. However, the company has not yet revealed the complete exterior specification.
Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Edition: Expected Powertrain & Battery Packs
The BE 6 Sporteq Edition is expected to continue with the same electric powertrain options as the standard model. No major mechanical changes have been indicated in the teasers released so far. The top-spec BE 6 with the 79kWh battery produces 282bhp and 380Nm. It has a claimed range of up to 682km on a single charge.
Mahindra is yet to confirm whether the Sporteq Edition will be available with the same battery and powertrain combination or whether it will be offered in multiple configurations.
Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Edition: Expected Features & Safety
The triple-screen setup will be the main technology highlight of the Sporteq Edition. Other equipment is expected to be carried over from the higher variants of the BE 6. Depending on the variant, the BE 6 is available with features such as Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, automatic parking, a Harman Kardon audio system, connected-car technology and wireless smartphone connectivity. The Sporteq Edition could get additional equipment, but Mahindra is yet to reveal the complete feature list.
Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Edition: Expected Price
The Mahindra BE 6 is currently priced from Rs 18.90 lakh to Rs 26.90 lakh, ex-showroom. The Sporteq Edition is expected to be positioned above the regular range-topping variant. Mahindra is yet to announce the price of the special edition. Considering the additional equipment and cosmetic changes, the BE 6 Sporteq Edition could command a premium over the standard model.
