Mercedes-Benz GLC Electric to Launch in India on November 4: Check Range, Power and Features
Mercedes-Benz is set to expand its electric vehicle line-up in India with the launch of the new GLC Electric. The German luxury carmaker has confirmed that the electric SUV will be launched in India on November 4, 2026. Bookings for the model are expected to open in the first week of October.
The GLC Electric will be locally assembled in India and will be offered in the standard-wheelbase GLC 400 4Matic specification. While Mercedes-Benz has also revealed a long-wheelbase version of the electric SUV globally, the India-spec model will initially be available only in the standard-wheelbase form.

Mercedes-Benz GLC Electric: Dimensions and Boot Space
The GLC Electric has a wheelbase of 2,972mm, making it 84mm longer than the petrol-powered GLC. Despite sharing its name and design philosophy with the existing SUV, the electric version is based around a dedicated EV architecture.
The SUV offers 570 litres of boot space, while an additional 128-litre frunk provides extra storage space at the front.
Mercedes-Benz GLC Electric: Interior and Features
The cabin of the GLC Electric will combine physical controls with Mercedes-Benz's latest digital technology. The SUV will retain physical buttons and rotary controls on the steering wheel and centre console.
The biggest highlight inside the cabin will be the 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen. The large panel stretches across the dashboard and integrates the digital instrument cluster, central infotainment display and front passenger screen.
The SUV will also feature a customisable roof, adding to the premium cabin experience.
Mercedes-Benz GLC Electric: Battery and Performance
Powering the GLC Electric is a 94kWh battery pack, which Mercedes-Benz claims can deliver a range of up to 715km on a single charge. The SUV gets an all-wheel-drive setup in the GLC 400 4Matic specification. The electric powertrain develops 483bhp and 800Nm of peak torque. Mercedes-Benz claims a 0-100kmph acceleration time of just 4.3 seconds, while the top speed is rated at 210kmph.
With its local assembly, long claimed driving range and strong performance figures, the GLC Electric will become an important addition to Mercedes-Benz's electric SUV portfolio in India.
