Mercedes-Maybach S 580e Launched in India at Rs 3.35 Crore: Gets 585hp, 98 km EV Range
Mercedes-Benz has launched the Maybach S 580e in India, marking its first electrified model in the country, priced at Rs 3.35 crore. This plug-in hybrid limousine features a six-cylinder engine combined with electric power.

Mercedes-Benz has introduced the Maybach S 580e in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 3.35 crore. It is the first electrified Mercedes-Maybach model to be launched in the Indian market. The plug-in hybrid limousine combines a six-cylinder petrol engine with electric power, while retaining the premium comfort and technology expected from a Maybach.

Mercedes-Maybach S 580e: Front Profile
The Mercedes-Maybach S 580e uses a six-cylinder plug-in hybrid powertrain with 4MATIC all-wheel drive. The combined system output stands at 585hp, while maximum torque is rated at 750Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels through a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. The limousine can run in fully electric mode at speeds of up to 140 km/h.
The S 580e offers a WLTP-certified electric range of up to 98 km. Mercedes-Benz says real-world range can be around 100 km with the help of regenerative braking. The car gets dedicated Maybach, Electric and Battery Hold driving modes. Drivers can also adjust energy recuperation, including a one-pedal driving function.
Mercedes-Maybach S 580e: Charging Options
The luxury sedan supports 11 kW AC charging and up to 60 kW DC fast charging. Mercedes-Benz is also offering a complimentary home charging solution with the car. Owners can access compatible public charging infrastructure through the company's MB.CHARGE service.
Mercedes-Maybach S 580e: Interior and Features
The India-spec Mercedes-Maybach S 580e is available exclusively with a four-seat First-Class rear configuration. The rear cabin gets individual Executive seats, a full-length Business Centre Console, wireless charging and temperature-controlled cup holders. The Rear Comfort Package Plus adds features such as climatised seats, adaptive ambient lighting and rear MBUX controls.
The luxury experience is further enhanced by a Burmester High-End 4D Surround Sound System. It features 31 speakers, eight exciters and 1,610 watts of output, along with Dolby Atmos and wireless headphones for rear-seat entertainment.
Mercedes-Maybach S 580e: Safety and Technology
The Mercedes-Maybach S 580e comes with 15 airbags and a wide range of active and passive safety features. These include PRE-SAFE Impulse, PRE-SAFE Impulse Side, rear side airbags, a centre airbag and a belt bag. The car also gets GUARD 360° Vehicle Protection Plus for additional theft and intrusion protection.
Mercedes-Benz has equipped the limousine with digital lights and Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus as standard. The system can adjust the light distribution according to road conditions and traffic. MB.DRIVE ASSIST is also available, with features including DISTRONIC distance control and Steering Assist.

The Maybach S 580e gets cloud-based AIRMATIC air suspension as standard. The system can use navigation data to anticipate road conditions and adjust the suspension accordingly. Rear-axle steering is also standard and can be extended up to 10 degrees, helping reduce the turning circle at lower speeds while improving stability at higher speeds.
The exterior gets several signature Maybach touches, including an illuminated Maybach grille, logo projection and illuminated front and rear door sills.
Inside, the S 580e features MANUFAKTUR craftsmanship, including Maybach Exclusive Nappa leather in a crystal white and silver-grey pearl combination. The cabin also gets piano lacquer trim, a Nappa leather roof liner and specially finished seat backrests.
Other details include a wood-and-leather multifunction steering wheel, designer belt buckles, deep-pile floor mats and a high-gloss white key with rose-gold detailing.
