JSW MG Hector Hawk EV: Exterior

The latest spy shots offer the clearest look yet at the Hector Hawk’s exterior. At the front, the SUV gets LED headlamps with dual LED DRLs linked by a black trim. The MG logo sits at the centre, flanked by two silver strips.
As an electric SUV, the Hector Hawk gets a closed-off grille along with a rectangular air inlet lower down. The front bumper features a dual-tone finish and vertical air curtains on either side. The bonnet gets subtle ridges, while the test car was finished in an olive green shade with a black roof and roof rails.
From the side, the SUV gets chrome door handles and a chrome window line that rises towards the rear. Black cladding around the squared-off wheel arches and along the lower doors adds a more rugged look. The test car also featured large dual-tone alloy wheels.
MG has not revealed the rear design yet, although the production SUV is expected to get wraparound tail-lamps and a dual-tone rear bumper.

Hector Hawk EV: Interior

The Hector Hawk is based on the Wuling Eksion, which is sold in Indonesia. The India-spec SUV is expected to retain similar dimensions, measuring 4,745mm in length, 1,850mm in width and 1,755mm in height, with a 2,810mm wheelbase.
The SUV will offer a seven-seat configuration, making it one of the more practical electric SUVs in its segment.
Inside, an earlier teaser confirmed a beige colour theme. While MG has not yet shown the complete dashboard, the cabin is expected to follow the Eksion’s minimalist layout. It could feature a digital driver’s display, a large infotainment screen, a two-spoke steering wheel and a centre console with cupholders and storage spaces.

MG Hector Hawk: Expected Features

JSW MG has not announced the complete equipment list yet. However, the Hector Hawk EV is expected to come with a powered tailgate, leatherette upholstery, powered and ventilated front seats and a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Other expected features include an 8.8-inch digital driver’s display, 50W wireless charging, automatic climate control, dedicated AC vents for the second and third rows, a 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake, six airbags and an ADAS safety suite.

Hector Hawk EV: Battery and Range

Exact India-spec powertrain details are yet to be revealed. For reference, the Wuling Eksion uses a 69.2kWh LFP battery pack and has a claimed CLTC range of up to 530km.
The Indonesia-spec model gets a front-mounted electric motor producing 201hp and 310Nm. Its top speed is rated at 160kph. It remains to be seen whether the Hector Hawk EV will use the same powertrain or receive specifications tailored for India.

Hector Hawk: Expected Price and Rivals

The MG Hector Hawk EV is expected to be priced between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom). With its three-row layout and electric powertrain, it is expected to compete with the Mahindra XEV 9S and Kia Carens Clavis EV.
With the Hector Hawk, JSW MG will enter the growing electric SUV space with a model that combines a seven-seat layout with a relatively accessible expected price point.
