Manufacturing Capacity Expands in Baddi, Work Begins in Hosur

The company has continued upgrades at its Baddi manufacturing units. New systems have increased daily output to around 50,000 helmets. Construction has also begun on a greenfield plant in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, to meet demand in southern India.

New Product Variants and Rider Equipment Added

During the year, Steelbird introduced helmet models with Bluetooth integration, airflow systems and lightweight materials. The company also added rider equipment, including gloves, goggles and rain protection items.

Retail Network Expansion in Progress

Steelbird operates more than 200 Rider Shops across India. Plans are in place to grow this network to over 1,000 stores to improve customer access.
In the FY 2025-26, Steelbird aims to sell 10 million helmets and earn Rs 900 crore in revenue in FY 2025-26. By FY 2026-27, the company is targeting production of 15 million helmets and revenue of Rs 1,300 crore.
Rajeev Kapur, Managing Director of Steelbird Hi-Tech India, said, “Every helmet we make is a step toward saving a life. The WHO estimates over 300,000 fatalities due to road accidents in India annually — a figure that’s likely underreported. It’s not just about meeting sales goals; it’s about addressing a serious national concern. At Steelbird, we’ve made it our mission to bridge that gap by making high-quality, stylish and affordable helmets accessible to every rider.”
