Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition Launched in India at Rs 19.90 Lakh with Cosmetic and Electronic Updates

Suzuki Motorcycle India has introduced the Hayabusa Special Edition in India at Rs 19.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The new version gets exclusive cosmetic changes, while the standard Hayabusa has also been updated with new colour options and revisions to its battery and electronic systems.

The standard Suzuki Hayabusa continues to be available at Rs 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Both versions use the same 1,340cc 4-cylinder engine and mechanical hardware.

The Hayabusa Special Edition is available in a Pearl Vigor Blue finish. It gets dedicated graphics, a revised wheel finish and a 3D Suzuki emblem on the fuel tank. A Special Edition badge has also been added to the motorcycle.

Other changes include anodised finishes on the muffler end and heat guard. The motorcycle also gets a single-seat cowl as standard, giving it a different appearance compared to the regular Hayabusa.

The Special Edition retains the same engine, chassis and suspension components as the standard model.

Along with the Special Edition, Suzuki has introduced three new dual-tone colour combinations for the standard Hayabusa:

• Candy Daring Red / Glass Sparkle Black
• Metallic Galaxy Gray / Candy Burnt Gold
• Pearl Vigor Blue / Pearl Brilliant White

Both versions of the Hayabusa now feature an ELIIY Power lithium-ion battery. The new battery is lighter and more compact than the unit used previously. Suzuki has also revised the calibration of the Launch Control System and Power Mode Selector. The Smart Cruise Control system has received an update as well. With the revised system, cruise control can remain active during gear changes, allowing the rider to shift gears without cancelling the preset speed.

Power continues to come from the 1,340cc liquid-cooled, four-cylinder engine. The engine produces 190 bhp and is paired with a six-speed gearbox. The Hayabusa uses a twin-spar aluminium frame with adjustable KYB inverted front forks and a rear monoshock.

Braking hardware includes twin 320mm front discs with Brembo Stylema callipers. The motorcycle also rides on Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S22 tyres.

The Hayabusa continues with a range of electronic rider aids, including the Motion Track Traction Control System, bi-directional quick-shifter, Suzuki Easy Start System, Low RPM Assist and Slope Dependent Control System. The motorcycle also gets a full-LED lighting setup and Suzuki's electronic riding modes.
