Tata Sierra Legend Series Variants Explained: What Each Trim Offers
Tata Motors has launched the new Legend Series for the Sierra lineup, catering to buyers seeking enhanced features at mid-spec levels. The series includes variants such as Smart+L, Pure L, Pure L (O), Pure+ L, and Adventure+L.
Tata Sierra Legend Series Variants Explained: What Each Trim Offers
Tata Motors has expanded the Sierra lineup with the new Legend Series, aimed at buyers looking for more features without moving to the top-spec variants. The new range will be sold alongside the existing Sierra lineup, which will now be known as the Signature Series.
Key Highlights:
Tata Sierra Legend Series introduced as a value-focused mid-spec range.- New range includes Smart+L, Pure L, Pure L (O), Pure+ L and Adventure+L variants.
- Prices for the Legend Series start at the lower end of the Sierra range, with Adventure+L priced from Rs 16.99 lakh.
- The Legend Series is available with petrol and diesel powertrain options, while the Smart+L is limited to a manual gearbox.
Tata Sierra Smart+L
The Smart+L is the entry-level variant of the new Legend Series. Despite being the base trim, it gets a useful set of features, including leatherette seats, climate control, a digital instrument cluster and LED headlamps with LED DRLs.
It also gets leatherette door and armrest trims, steering-mounted audio controls, auto-folding ORVMs and roof rails. The variant rides on 17-inch steel wheels with wheel covers.
Tata Sierra Pure L
The Pure L sits above the Smart+L and brings several additional convenience and technology features. It gets a 10.2-inch infotainment screen with wireless phone mirroring, along with a reverse camera and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The variant also gets 17-inch alloy wheels and a rear wiper.
Tata Sierra Pure L (O)
The Pure L (O) adds more features over the standard Pure L for an additional Rs 50,000. The key additions include a panoramic sunroof, automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers. This variant is positioned for buyers who want some of the premium features without stepping up to the higher Pure+ L trim.
Tata Sierra Pure+ L
The Pure+ L is the top variant in the Pure range and costs Rs 70,000 more than the Pure L (O).
It adds a full leatherette interior, ventilated front seats with power adjustment for the driver and an under-thigh extension for the front seats. It also gets boss mode, dual-zone climate control, rear USB-C charging ports and a one-touch function for the driver's window.
Tata Sierra Adventure+L
The Adventure+L sits at the top of the Legend Series and is priced from Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
It carries forward the features of the Pure+ L and adds several more premium and convenience features. These include a 360-degree camera, Super Glide suspension, a larger 12.29-inch infotainment display, reclining rear seats and a cooled glovebox. The Adventure+L is also the only Legend Series variant to get Tata's 1.5-litre Hyperion turbo-petrol engine.
Tata Sierra Legend Series: Powertrain Options
The Legend Series gets the three powertrain options available with the Sierra, although there are some restrictions depending on the variant. The entry-level Smart+L is available only with a manual transmission. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre Hyperion TGDi petrol engine is restricted to the Adventure+L variant. Petrol and diesel options are otherwise available across the Legend Series, depending on the variant and gearbox combination.
The new Legend Series essentially adds more equipment to the mid-spec Sierra variants, giving buyers more features before they move to the top-spec Accomplished trims.
