Toyota has revealed the GR Yaris Morizo RR at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2026. The limited-edition model will be restricted to 100 units for Japan, with another 100 units planned for select European markets. The Morizo RR is based on inputs from Toyota Motor Corporation chairman Akio Toyoda, who competed under the name Morizo in the 2025 Nurburgring 24 Hours endurance race.

The GR Yaris Morizo RR features several revisions over the standard GR Yaris. These include a carbon-fibre rear wing developed using race data, a redesigned front splitter, revised side skirts and a carbon-fibre bonnet. The car is offered only in a colour called Gravel Khaki. It runs on matte bronze alloy wheels paired with yellow-painted brake calipers. A signed windscreen and a numbered plaque identify the limited-production run.
Toyota has revised the suspension setup for the Morizo RR, with a focus on maintaining tyre contact on uneven surfaces, including conditions similar to the Nurburgring. The electric power steering system has also been recalibrated based on circuit testing.
The all-wheel-drive system loses the Gravel mode available on the standard GR Yaris. In its place is a new Morizo mode, which delivers a fixed 50:50 torque split between the front and rear axles, similar to the earlier Track mode that has since been discontinued.
Power comes from a 1.6-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine, paired with an eight-speed Gazoo Racing automatic transmission. Toyota has not confirmed official output figures for the GR Yaris Morizo RR, though the engine is related to the unit used in the Lexus LBX Morizo RR.
Inside, the GR Yaris Morizo RR gets a smaller-diameter steering wheel finished in Alcantara with yellow accents. The switchgear has been revised for motorsport use. The digital instrument cluster features a dedicated display for the Morizo drive mode. Yellow stitching is used across the cabin, along with a serial number plate.
Toyota has confirmed that the GR Yaris Morizo RR will not be sold in markets such as the US. In Japan and Europe, buyers will be selected through a lottery system. Deliveries are expected to begin in spring 2026.
