The updated model is expected to arrive in India soon. Here is what the facelift brings to the MPV.
Key Highlights:
- Updated exterior styling with a redesigned grille, headlamps and front bumper.
- Hybrid variants get a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
- Higher variants feature a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen.
- India launch expected on November 26, 2026.
Toyota Innova Hycross Facelift: Exterior Changes
The updated Toyota Innova Hycross gets a redesigned front fascia. The MPV features a larger, squarer grille with diamond-shaped openings, slimmer projector headlamps and a revised front bumper. The lower section of the bumper also gets a redesigned air intake.
Earlier test prototypes also revealed pixel-style LED fog lamps, which are positioned higher than before. Other expected changes include new alloy wheels and revised LED graphics for the tail lamps.
However, the overall side profile is likely to remain unchanged. The tailgate, roof spoiler, shark fin antenna and rear wiper are also expected to be carried over from the current model.
Toyota Innova Hycross Facelift: Interior and Features
The cabin receives some of the most noticeable updates. The hybrid variants of the updated Kijang Innova Zenix get a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Meanwhile, the V Hybrid variant and higher trims feature a larger 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen.
Test prototypes have also indicated a revised centre console with a raised design and an automatic gear selector. Toyota is expected to introduce updated software, different upholstery options and a darker cabin theme. The seating layout, however, is expected to remain unchanged.
Toyota Innova Hycross Facelift: Engine and Hybrid Powertrain
Toyota is expected to retain the existing engine options with the facelift. These include a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing around 173 hp, paired with a CVT gearbox. The strong hybrid version is expected to continue with a 2.0-litre petrol engine paired with an electric motor. The combined output is around 184 hp, with an e-CVT transmission.
The claimed fuel efficiency figures stand at 16.13 kmpl for the petrol version and 23.24 kmpl for the hybrid variant.
Toyota had also tested an Innova Hycross hybrid that could run on blended fuel containing up to 85% ethanol (E85). However, it remains unclear whether this technology will be introduced with the upcoming facelift.
