U.S. President Donald Trump purchased a Tesla Model S at a public event with CEO Elon Musk outside the White House. He also announced that he bought a Tesla Cybertruck for his granddaughter, Kai. The event included remarks from Musk about Tesla's future production plans in the U.S.
Trump Purchases Tesla Model S
During an event held outside the White House, Donald Trump purchased a Tesla Model S. The event was attended by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who spoke about the company's plans to increase vehicle production in the U.S. over the next two years.
“As a function of the great policies of President Trump and his administration, and as an act of faith in America, Tesla is going to DOUBLE vehicle output in the United States within the next two years,” Musk said.
Trump Purchases Tesla Model S
Trump praised Tesla’s vehicles but mentioned he wouldn't be driving the Model S personally due to security restrictions. The vehicle will be used by White House staff, including his communications advisor, Margo Martin.
"Number one, it's a great product, as good as it gets—and number two, because ElonMusk has devoted his energy and his life to doing this and I think he has been treated very unfairly," Trump Said.
Tesla Model S Specifications
The Tesla Model S is equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system. The front motor produces 271 bhp, while the rear motor generates 496 bhp. It features a 98.0 kWh battery pack with an estimated driving range of 524 km on a single charge.

Trump also announced that he had purchased a Tesla Cybertruck for his granddaughter, Kai, who is a golfer. He noted that the vehicle would be useful for carrying golf equipment.
The specific variant of the Cybertruck was not disclosed. Tesla offers two versions: an all-wheel-drive model with 591.7 bhp and a Cyberbeast variant with 822.5 bhp. The all-wheel-drive version has a range of 523 km, while the Cyberbeast offers driving range of up to 486 km on a single charge.
