Hero Karizma XMR Entry Level Variant Discontinued
Indian automaker, Hero MotoCorp has discontinued the entry-level variant or the base variant of the Karizma XMR. The starting variant of the Karizma XMR now starts at Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom) followed by the Combat edition which was launched earlier this year priced at Rs 2.01 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Hero Karizma XMR is being offered with USD forks as well as a TFT display. The Karizma XMR was initially offered with telescopic forks which drew criticism from customers considering its closest rival, Yamaha R15 was being offered with USD forks from the base variant.
Additionally, discontinuing the base variant of the Hero Karizma XMR makes the 210cc bike more expensive. Earlier, the bike used to boast a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 1.81 lakh for the base variant.
The Top variant and combat variant are in essence the same bike with a unique colour option. The Hero Karizma XMR is powered by a 210cc four-stroke, four valve, single cylinder liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that puts out 25 bhp and 20.4 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox.
This comes on the back of Hero MotoCorp’s sales record for June 2025. The company boasted a total of 5,53,963 units dispatched in June 2025 reflecting a year-on-year growth of 10.03% when compared to 5,03,448 units dispatched in June 2024. Moreover, the company dispatched 5,12,658 motorcycles in June 2025, indicating a year-on-year increase of 8.3% when compared to 4,73,228 units dispatched in June 2024. Furthermore, 41,305 scooters were dispatched in June 2025 reflecting a year-on-year growth of 36% when compared to 30,220 scooters dispatched in June 2024.
