Aston Martin Vantage S Unveiled Globally With More Power
Aston Martin has announced the introduction of the Vantage S sports car. This variant follows the company’s approach of adding the ‘S’ suffix to models with higher performance specifications. Previous models with this suffix include the Vanquish S in 2004 and the V8 and V12 Vantage S in 2011 and 2013.
Aston Martin Vantage S: Performance
The Aston Martin Vantage S houses a 4.0L V8 Twin-Turbo engine which churns out 670.70 bhp and 800 Nm of torque. This car cab accelerates from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 kmph) in 3.4 seconds and can go from 0 to 200 kmph in 10.1 seconds. It has a top speed of 202 mph (325 kmph). Aston Martin Vantage S: Suspension, Steering & Chassis
The suspension system in this car has been revised with changes to hardware, powertrain mounts and control software. Bilstein DTX adaptive dampers have been recalibrated for front-end response. Rear spring aid stiffness has been reduced and transmission mount stiffness decreased by 10 percent to manage powertrain movement. The rear subframe is now directly mounted to the body, replacing rubber bushes.
Suspension camber, toe and caster settings have been modified to improve response and grip under lateral load. These changes aim to adjust the dynamic balance of the vehicle while maintaining stability.
Aston Martin Vantage S: Design
The new Aston Martin Vantage S has centrally mounted bonnet blades in gloss black or carbon fibre. The rear features a full-width decklid spoiler that increases rear downforce by 44kg at top speed, contributing to a total downforce of 111kg. Additional underbody changes include a new front airdam and front venturi vanes. It bears ‘S’ badging on the front fenders and offers an optional 21-inch Y-spoke wheel in satin black with a red graphic, along with bronze painted brake callipers.
On the inside there is a combination of Alcantara and leather with carbon fibre trim inlays. The ‘S’ logo is embroidered on the seat shoulder panels, while the Aston Martin wings are embroidered onto the headrests. An embossing and debossing technique is available for the wing logos. Optional interior features include a red or silver anodised drive mode rotary, matched to seatbelt, stitching, and embroidery colours. Another option is the Inspire Sport interior with semi-aniline leather or leather and Alcantara combinations with chevron quilting and perforations.
