Land Rover Updates Discovery Sport Range With Two New Editions And Accessory Packs
Land Rover has made several updates to its Discovery Sport SUV range, which is now available to order in the UK from £45,440 (OTR). The refreshed line-up includes a new entry variant called Dynamic S, along with two newly introduced editions; Metropolitan and Landmark. The latest model also includes new wheel options, additional convenience features and curated accessory packs designed to suit different types of travel needs.
New Metropolitan Edition
The Metropolitan edition sits at the top of the Discovery Sport range. It draws influence from the larger Discovery Metropolitan model and includes distinctive design details such as a silver finish on front and rear undershields and model-specific treadplates. On the inside, it comes with electronically adjustable front seats, a 14-speaker Meridian sound system, a rear-view camera integrated into the mirror and air filtration features aimed at improving in-cabin conditions.
Landmark Edition Highlights Discovery’s Legacy
The Landmark edition references the Discovery nameplate’s history, using visual elements like a mountain logo first seen on the original 1989 Discovery. Features include branded treadplates, second-row seat recline and slide functions and a panoramic roof. Additional equipment includes rear-seat media holders, a surround-view camera, and roof rails.
Dynamic S Variant Gets Updated Styling
The base Dynamic S trim introduces a set of black styling elements such as the grille, bumpers, wheel arches and trim badging. All models now include a digital instrument cluster, paddle shifters and an 11.4-inch central touchscreen running Land Rover’s Pivi Pro infotainment system. Wireless support for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is now standard.
Accessory Packs for Different Lifestyles
New accessory bundles have been introduced to make the Discovery Sport adaptable for varied use cases. These include packs aimed at beach outings, road trips, snowy environments, biking and pet transport.
Each pack contains items intended to help with organization and convenience. For example, the Beach Days pack includes a collapsible boot organiser and a centre cooler, while the Road Trip pack offers roof bars and a roof box for added cargo space.
Powertrain Options Continue
The model remains available with plug-in hybrid and mild-hybrid options. The plug-in variant offers a WLTP electric-only range of up to 36 miles and supports DC fast charging, with a claimed 0–80% charge achievable in about 30 minutes. The range also includes Ingenium petrol and diesel engines, both featuring mild-hybrid technology for improved efficiency during city driving.
