German luxury and sports car manufacturer Audi has confirmed the global unveiling date of the third-generation Q3. Sharing this update the company revealed that the 2026 Q3 SUV will make its global debut on June 16th 2025. First introduced back in 2011, the Q3 has crossed over two million sales globally and has played a pivotal role in the company’s product lineup. The new Q3 will replace the current model, which has been on sale since 2018.

The Q3 has followed a consistent generational timeline. The first-generation model was underpinned by a platform shared with the Volkswagen Golf and Audi A3. The second generation, introduced in 2018, shifted to the MQB A2 architecture and added versions like the Q3 Sportback, SQ3, and RS Q3. The upcoming model arrives after another seven-year cycle, continuing the nameplate's role in Audi’s global strategy.

Even before Audi officially teased the third-gen Q3, test prototypes had already been spotted testing on multiple occasions on public roads. Some spy shots hinted at a reworked grille, a split-headlamp layout and pixel-style LED DRLs. The profile showed updated alloy wheels, while the rear featured revised tail lamps, possibly connected by an LED strip running across the tailgate.
As far as interiors are concerned Audi hasn’t released any interior images yet and the company is describing the Q3 as a “digital companion,” suggesting upgrades in infotainment and driver-assistance technologies etc. Further details are expected during the unveiling event, though the teaser campaign has focused on exterior styling and platform continuity.
Though not confirmed, Audi may also showcase the next-generation Q3 Sportback during the June 16 debut. The coupe-styled SUV, introduced in the previous generation, is likely to return with similar design updates and slightly revised dimensions compared to the standard model.

Management’s Viewpoint

Gernot Dollner, CEO of AUDI AG said, “With a total of more than two million vehicles sold worldwide since the launch of the first generation, the Audi Q3 is one of our best-selling models and has a high status in our product portfolio. With the third generation of the Audi Q3, we are renewing an important model family as part of our product initiative.”
