Maruti Suzuki Dzire Crosses 30 Lakh Production Mark

Maruti Suzuki has been the top selling car brand in India for the past several decades and now the company has come forward and shared a new milestone. The company has shared that its subcompact sub-4M sedan, Dzire has crossed the 3 million production mark in India.

Commenting on the occasion, Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited said, “We are deeply grateful to our customers for their continued trust, which has been a key to achieving the milestone of 3 million production for the Maruti Suzuki Dzire. Their feedback and support inspire us to continuously improve and innovate, ensuring the Dzire exceeds their expectations”.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire is currently in its fourth generation, the company had first introduced the Dzire back in 2008 with Swift Dzire nomenclature. Then the company introduced the second generation Swift Dzire back in 2012, this time the company reduced the length of the car to sub-4M. Back in 2017 the company took a radical step of dropping the Swift prefix, making Dzire a stand alone brand in itself, this was followed by the introduction of the fourth generation Dzire last month in India. The fourth gen Dzire was an instant hit and it became the first ever Maruti Suzuki car to secure 5-Star Global NCAP safety ratings and is currently the only car in its segment to sport a sunroof as well.

The information shared by the company outlines that the Dzire achieved the 1 million production mark back in 2015, 2 million mark in 2019 and has now reached the 3 million production mark. The company also shared that the Dzire is a global hit and is exported from India to 48 countries and in FY 23-24 it ranked second on the list of top vehicles exported by the company.
