Mercedes-Maybach Unveiled The SL Monogram Series: Luxury Convertible With V8 Power

Mercedes has unveiled the Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series, a new addition to its luxury lineup, marking the brand's most dynamic model. Designed as a two-seater convertible, the Monogram Series introduces two design concepts—"Red Ambience" and "White Ambience." These options offer a choice between a red or white exterior, paired with an obsidian black metallic finish. The "Red Ambience" variant features a garnet red metallic contrast, while the "White Ambience" is paired with opalite white magno.

The vehicle’s exterior includes several Maybach-specific styling elements, such as a chrome-finished radiator grille, a bonnet with a chrome fin, and a double scoop behind the seats. The soft top is made from light black fabric with subtle Maybach patterning. The rear features distinct tailpipe trims and a diffuser with chrome detailing.

Inside, the car is equipped with crystal white nappa leather, covering the seats, door panels and other surfaces. The leather is sustainably tanned, and the interior also features silver chrome accents and floral seat upholstery. The digital displays are customized with Maybach-specific animations and display styles.

Under the hood, the SL 680 Monogram Series is powered by a 4L V8 engine producing 577 bhp and 800 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission and fully variable 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.1 seconds, with a top speed of 260 kmph. Market rollout for the Monogram Series begins in Europe in spring 2025, with availability in other regions to follow.
