Porsche Announces Updates For Its Panamera And Taycan Models

Porsche has announced updates to its Taycan and Panamera models, along with significant enhancements to the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system across several vehicle lines. The Taycan and Taycan 4S now feature the Performance Battery Plus as standard, increasing battery capacity to 105 kWh (gross) from 89 kWh, resulting in an additional 80 km of range. These models also include 19-inch Taycan S Aero wheels and offer a leather-free interior option. Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Change Assist are now standard across the Taycan range, while GTS and Turbo variants gain rear-axle steering and Power Steering Plus. The new Taycan models are available for order and are expected to arrive in the UK and Ireland in the summer.

The Panamera range is equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Change Assist, and Bose audio setup, among others as standard. Additional standard features include rear side airbags, soft-close doors, Surround View, and a heated steering wheel. Turbo models also include noise insulating glass.

The PCM system in the 911, Taycan, Panamera, and Cayenne has been upgraded with new hardware for improved responsiveness as well as additional capabilities. The Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system provides direct access to a variety of third-party applications via the Porsche App Centre, including streaming media, news updates, navigation tools, and gaming entertainment, among others.

Complementing the existing Porsche Voice Pilot, Amazon Alexa has been added as an additional digital assistant. Furthermore, vehicles equipped with premium audio systems feature Dolby Atmos sound technology in the updated model. The enhancements to the PCM system are designed to modernise and broaden the range of services available.
