Suzuki Jimny Offroad Edition Launched In Thailand At Equivalent Of Rs 43.37 Lakh: What's Special

Suzuki has launched a new special edition version of the Jimny in Thailand called 'Offroad Edition'. The Jimny Offroad Edition has been launched at a starting price of THB 1,760,000 for the single-tone variants and THB 1,790,000 for dual-tone variants, converting to Rs 43.37 lakh and Rs 44.10 lakh respectively. The changes made to the Jimny Offroad Edition are cosmetic only.

Suzuki Jimny Offroad Edition: What's New?

The Jimny Offroad Edition gets a new front grille, a chrome front bumper garnish, side under garnish, door handle protectors, a fuel lid cover sticker, special mud flaps, a spare tyre cover with Jimny decal as well as a special Jimny Offroad Edition emblem on the tailgate. Despite its name, no mechanical changes have been introduced with the Jimny Offroad Edition whatsoever.

Do note that the Jimny Offroad Edition is based on the Jimny 3-door, unlike the Jimny 5-door sold in the Indian market. Colour options on offer with the Jimny Offroad Edition include five monotone shades, namely Solid Jungle Green, Pearl Bluish Black, Solid Medium Gray, Superior White and Metallic Chiffon Ivory. Dual-tone colour options include Solid Kinetic Yellow and Metallic Chiffon Ivory - both with a Pearl Bluish Black roof.

In India, Maruti Suzuki offers the Jimny with a sole 1.5L, four-cylinder NA petrol engine 103 bhp of maximum power and 134 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard along with an optional 4-speed torque converter automatic with a standard 4x4 configuration. The Jimny is currently priced in India from Rs 12.74 lakh to Rs 14.95 lakh (ex-showroom).
