Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder Update Launched, Boasts New Safety And Comfort Features

Japanese automaker, Toyota recently announced that the Urban Cruiser Hyryder has achieved over one lakh sales. Toyota has introduced several enhancements across the Hyryder range. The price range of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder starts from Rs 11.34 lakh (ex-showroom).

Safety upgrades include standardising six airbags across all variants and adding Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) to automatic transmission models. Performance in the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) variant has been improved with a 6-speed Automatic Transmission replacing the previous 5-speed manual.

Additionally, comfort has been enhanced with an eight-way adjustable power driver seat, rear door sunshade, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) has been introduced in more variants, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, type-C USB fast-charging ports, standard LED spot and reading lamps, an air quality index Display, and an updated speedometer. Toyota stated that select variants would also offer dual-tone exterior color options.

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder’s interior features a 9-inch infotainment system, wireless charging, and advanced connectivity. In addition to that, ownership is supported by comprehensive warranties and accessories.

This development comes on the back of the Japanese automaker registering sales of 30,043 units of passenger vehicles (including PVs sold domestically plus exports from India). This sales figure represents an increase in year-on-year total monthly passenger vehicle sales by 2,863 units which further translates into a 10.53 percent growth in year-on-year total monthly passenger vehicle sales. In March 2024 Toyota posted a total passenger vehicle sales of 27,180 units.
