Upcoming 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLA Prototype Revealed With Hybrid Powertrain

German luxury and sports car maker Mercedes-Benz has officially revealed the prototype of the upcoming 2025 CLA. Although the images and video of the 2025 CLA shared by the company have the car under heavy camouflage we can still make out some stark changes that we can expect from the 2025 model.
The upcoming 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLA will be the first car from the company among its new family of cars. This next-generation CLA will also be the first car from the company to sport its new Mercedes‑Benz Operating System (MB.OS) and also get the MBUX AI virtual assistant.
The 2025 CLA will be based on the CLA concept car and will also get the company’s new headlight design. This car will also get a hybrid powertrain integrating a 48V system with an internal combustion engine. The CLA will also get an all electric version which will borrow technology from the EQXX and will also get an all new two-speed transmission for a better combination of efficiency and performance.
The company also released a video of these vehicles from its Immendingen test track situated in the south of Stuttgart, Germany. In the video Mercedes-Benz CEO Ola Kallenius with host Sarah Harman are sharing details of the upcoming CLA series of vehicles. They talk in detail about the headlights, which are completely new and sport a tri pattern similar to the 3D Star design tail lights recently seen on the E-Class LWB in India.
Ola Kallenius, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz Group AG said, "With the CLA, we are ushering in a new era at Mercedes‑Benz. We will substantially elevate every aspect of what our customers can expect from a Mercedes in this segment. The modular platform allows for maximum flexibility: We can offer the CLA in both a state-of-the-art electric drivetrain version and a hybrid electrified combustion engine version. And our operating system, MB.OS, will make it into the most intelligent car we’ve ever built.”
