Tata Harrier EV vs BYD ATTO 3 2025: Price, Features, Range Comparison

The battle of electric SUV continues to intensify with automakers constantly striving to get one over the competition. However, with SUVs dominating the current automotive landscape, electric SUVs have been the latest entry in the market. Indian automaker, Tata Motors’ latest entry in the electric SUV market, Tata Harrier EV has created a buzz in the market, competing against the likes of Mahindra XEV 9e, Mahindra BE6, BYD ATTO 3 and MG ZS EV, among others.

The Tata Harrier EV boasts two different battery packs: a 65 kWh and a 75 kWh. The Tata Harrier EV with a 65-kWh battery pack is powered by an electric motor placed on the rear axle producing 234.4 bhp and 304 Nm of torque, making it rear-wheel drive. The Quad-Wheel Drive (QWD) variant, on the other hand, employs two electric motors placed on each axle front and rear producing a combined output of 389.9 bhp and 504 Nm of torque.

The BYD ATTO 3 also boasts two different battery packs: a 49.92 kWh and a 60.48 kWh, powering a permanent magnet synchronous motor producing 201.1 bhp and 310 Nm of torque sending the power to the front wheels.

The Tata Harrier EV accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.3 seconds using boost mode and boasts a top speed of 180 kmph which is electronically limited. The BYD ATTO 3, on the other hand, accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 7.3 seconds and boasts a top speed of 160 kmph. The BYD ATTO 3 has an ARAI-tested range of 468 km for the 49.92 kWH battery pack and 521 km for the 60.48 kWh battery pack whereas the Tata Harrier EV boasts a range of 480 km to 505 km.

The Tata Harrier EV is loaded with features, following in the footsteps of its older siblings. The Tata Harrier EV boasts 540-degree camera with transparent view, a panoramic sunroof, a 14.5-inch Samsung NEO QLED display for its infotainment system and Dolby Atmos Surround system. In addition to that, the Tata Harrier EV gets Vehicle-to-Vehicle and Vehicle-to-Load capabilities along with three levels of regeneration with a boost mode which offers increased acceleration for a brief period of time. Additionally, the QWD variant gets six driving modes namely snow, mud/ruts, sand, normal, rock crawl mode and custom. Furthermore, the Tata Harrier EV QWD variant also gets off-road assist to help drivers handle their car better when on tricky terrains.

BYD ATTO 3 is equipped with features including wireless phone charger, a 12V socket, keyless entry and start, portable card key, Bluetooth key, ventilated seats, automatic climate control, a 12.8-inch intelligent rotating screen, six speakers, Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, among others.

The Tata Harrier EV is priced at Rs 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for its RWD variant whereas the AWD variant is priced at Rs 28.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The BYD ATTO 3, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
