Tata Harrier, Safari Petrol: Variant-Wise Price List, Features, Specs & More

Tata Motors has introduced petrol-powered versions of the Harrier and Safari, expanding the engine options available on both SUVs. The two models are now offered with a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine across multiple variants and with manual and automatic transmission options. Prices for the Harrier petrol range begin at Rs 12.89 lakh, while the Safari petrol starts at Rs 13.29 lakh (both ex-showroom, New Delhi).

The newly introduced petrol engine develops 167.6bhp and 280Nm of torque paired with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed automatic transmission, depending on the variant. The engine is offered across the core trim lines of both SUVs, including standard and #DARK editions.

In terms of safety, all petrol variants of the Harrier and Safari have received a five-star rating under Bharat NCAP. The safety package varies by variant and includes multiple airbags, electronic stability control and other active and passive safety systems offered as standard or optional equipment.

The Harrier petrol is offered exclusively in a five-seat configuration. Depending on the variant, features include a large touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, powered and ventilated front seats, a premium audio system and an electronic rear-view mirror with an integrated dash camera. Higher trims add additional comfort and convenience equipment while retaining the same powertrain options.

The Safari petrol is available in both six- and seven-seat layouts, depending on the variant. Equipment levels vary across the range and include features such as a panoramic sunroof, touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver display, powered front seats, premium audio system and an electronic rear-view mirror with integrated recording functionality. Seating configuration and interior equipment differ between standard and #DARK editions.

With the introduction of the petrol engine, both the Tata Harrier and Safari are now available with multiple powertrain choices, a wide variant spread and manual as well as automatic transmissions, giving buyers additional configuration options within the respective SUV line-ups.
