Tata Harrier, Safari Petrol Launched in India, Prices Start at Rs 12.89 Lakh
Tata Motors has introduced petrol variants of its Harrier and Safari SUVs in India, priced at Rs 12.89 lakh and Rs 13.29 lakh respectively. Both models feature a new 1.5L HYPERION Turbo-GDi petrol engine generating 167.6bhp and 280 Nm of torque, with options for manual and automatic transmissions.

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited has launched the petrol-powered versions of the Harrier and Safari SUVs in the Indian market. Prices start at Rs 12.89 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) for the Harrier petrol and Rs 13.29 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) for the Safari petrol.

Engine and Powertrain Details
Both SUVs are powered by a newly introduced 1.5L HYPERION Turbo-GDi petrol engine that puts out 167.6bhp and 280 Nm of torque. It is offered with manual and automatic transmission options, depending on the variant. According to the company, the engine has been tuned for use in both city and highway driving conditions.
Tata Harrier Petrol: Variants
The Tata Harrier petrol is offered as a five-seater SUV. Prices for the petrol range starts from Rs 12.89 lakh and go up to Rs 24.69 lakh (All prices are ex-showroom). It is available in eight variants:

- Fearless X Plus
- Fearless Ultra

Tata Safari Petrol: Variants, Seating Options
The Tata Safari petrol is available in both six-seat and seven-seat layouts. Prices for the petrol variant start at Rs 13.29 lakh and go up to Rs 25.20 lakh (All prices Ex-showroom). The Safari petrol is offered in ten variants:

- Adventure X Plus
- Accomplished X
- Accomplished X Plus
- Accomplished X Plus 6S
- Accomplished Ultra
- Accomplished Ultra 6S
- Accomplished Ultra Red #Dark

Features and Technology
Both the Harrier and Safari petrol models come with features such as a 36.9 cm touchscreen infotainment system, a digital rear-view mirror with integrated camera and a multi-speaker audio system. Additional equipment varies by variant and trim level.
Safety Rating
Tata Motors stated that the petrol variants of the Harrier and Safari have received a 5-star rating under Bharat NCAP. This rating applies across all variants equipped with the 1.5L petrol engine.
