While the driving dynamics are sorted with a precise steering, light clutch and comfortable suspensions set up, the engine makes the driving feel underwhelming. Petrol engines have never been Tata’s forte and it shows even on the Punch. The 1.2-litre, three cylinder motor is decent on power but isn’t as refined as the Suzuki or Hyundai units on sale.
