Hero Xpulse 421 Teased Ahead of EICMA 2026 Debut; India Launch Expected in 2027

Hero MotoCorp has teased the upcoming Xpulse 421 ahead of its expected global debut at EICMA 2026 in Milan. The new adventure motorcycle is expected to become the brand’s flagship Xpulse offering and will compete with the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure when it arrives in India.
The latest teaser, shared on Hero MotoCorp’s social media channels, carries the message that the wait is almost over and references EICMA 2026. While the video highlights the company’s rally motorcycling background, it does not reveal the motorcycle in its production-ready form.
The Hero Xpulse 421 is expected to make its global debut on November 3, 2026. An India launch is likely to follow in early 2027.

Hero Xpulse 421: What to Expect?

The Hero Xpulse 421 was first showcased in concept form at EICMA 2024. Since then, the motorcycle has been spotted testing on multiple occasions, including recent sightings in Ladakh.
The motorcycle was reportedly seen being tested alongside Hero’s rally riders, including Dakar competitors Ross Branch and Nacho Cornejo.
The Xpulse 421 will sit above the Xpulse 210 in Hero’s adventure motorcycle lineup. It is expected to target buyers looking for a more powerful motorcycle for touring and off-road riding.

Hero Xpulse 421: Expected Engine & Specifications

The upcoming adventure motorcycle is expected to feature a new 421cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine paired with a six-speed gearbox.
Hero MotoCorp has not confirmed the engine’s power and torque figures. However, preliminary estimates suggest an output of around 40hp to 50hp, with some reports indicating approximately 47bhp.
The engine is expected to be housed in a steel trellis frame. The motorcycle’s suspension setup is likely to comprise an inverted front fork and a rear monoshock.
Spy images also indicate the presence of wire-spoke wheels, including a 21-inch front wheel. The final rear wheel size remains unconfirmed.

Hero Xpulse 421: Expected Design & Features

Recent test sightings have revealed several details about the motorcycle’s design and equipment. The Hero Xpulse 421 is expected to feature a tall windscreen, a large fuel tank, an upright riding position, handguards and a high-mounted exhaust. The test motorcycle has also been spotted with a large colour TFT instrument console and redesigned switchgear.
Other expected features include:
  • Ride modes
  • Switchable ABS
  • Traction control
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • Turn-by-turn navigation
  • Cruise control
While some of these features have appeared on test motorcycles, Hero MotoCorp has not confirmed the final equipment list.

Hero Xpulse 421: Expected Price & India Launch

The Hero Xpulse 421 is expected to be launched in India in early 2027, following its global debut at EICMA 2026. The motorcycle could be priced between Rs 2.85 lakh and Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom). However, Hero MotoCorp has not announced the official pricing. Once launched, the Xpulse 421 will compete with the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure.
