2026 Honda CB500 Debuts in India with Design Inspired by CB750
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has unveiled the all-new Honda CB500 in India. Designed and manufactured in India, the new CB500 takes inspiration from the larger Honda CB750 with its retro roadster styling while offering a more accessible 500cc platform for riders looking for a blend of classic design and everyday usability.

Classic Design Inspired by the CB750
The Honda CB500 features a timeless roadster design with a round LED headlamp, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, long single-piece seat and a clean, upright stance. Honda showcased the motorcycle in three colour options, each giving it a sporty yet premium appearance.
The CB500 will be offered in three variants:
- Alloy
- Spoke Tubeless
- Spoke with Tubeless Graphics
Honda CB500: Engine
The newly unveiled bike by Honda is powered by a 501cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out 27bhp and 43.3 Nm of peak torque.
While the power output is relatively modest for a 500cc motorcycle, the healthy torque figure is expected to deliver relaxed cruising performance and smooth everyday rideability.
Honda CB500: Features and Hardware
The CB500 uses a conventional telescopic front fork with fork gaiters, while the rear gets gas-charged twin shock absorbers, staying true to its classic roadster character.
The motorcycle gets front and rear disc brakes with dual channel ABS.
Other key features include:
- Round LED headlamp
- Analogue instrument cluster with a digital inset
- Gear position indicator
- Odometer and trip meters
- Switchable traction control
The update is purely cosmetic, with no changes to the engine, chassis or mechanical components. Honda aims to keep its 350cc range fresh and competitive in the growing retro motorcycle segment.
