Mahindra yesterday launched the 2026 Thar facelift in India. The latest iteration of the SUV is introduced as the Thar OG. The Mahindra Thar OG has been introduced with a starting ex-showroom price tag of Rs 10.32 lakh. Here’s a detailed overview of the variants and variant-wise pricing of the new Thar OG.
2026 Mahindra Thar OG: Variants
Mahindra is offering the new Thar OG in three variants. The automaker has added a new ZXT variant with this update. The variants lineup of the Thar OG now includes - AXT, LXT and ZXT. The AXT is the entry-level variant and the ZXT is now the new top of the line variant with 15 new features.

2026 Mahindra Thar OG: What’s New?
The facelift does not represent an entirely new-generation Thar, but Mahindra has made changes across several areas. The Thar OG is based on the new M_GLYDE 4G platform and it gets DAVINCI suspension, electric power steering and lower NVH levels and retuned powertrains.
The addition of front and rear electronic locking differentials and three terrain modes also expands its off-road technology package. At the same time, six airbags, four-wheel disc brakes and multiple electronic safety systems strengthen the safety equipment list.
On the design front, the new grille, C-shaped DRLs, LED Ice Cube foglamps, new tail-lights, wider track and 19-inch alloy wheels distinguish the facelift from the outgoing model.
