The 2026 Tata Punch EV has achieved a 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP. In the Adult Occupant Protection tests, it scored an impressive 31.09 out of 32 points and 45 out of 49 points for Child Occupant Protection.

In a recent update it has come to light that the 2026 model year Punch EV has bagged 5-star Bharat NCAP crash test safety ratings. Launched in India earlier this year the Punch EV is currently among the most affordable electric SUVs in India. Here’s how the 2026 Punch EV performed in the latest Bharat NCAP crash tests.
2026 Tata Punch EV Bharat NCAP: Adult Occupant Protection
The crash test data shared on Bharat NCAP website for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) indicate that the 2026 Punch EV has scored 31.09 out of 32 points. The 2026 Punch EV scored 15.28 out of 16 points in the frontal offset deformable barrier test. In the side movable deformable barrier test the 2026 Punch EV scored 15.80 out of 16 points. The new Punch EV also complied with the side pole impact test.
2026 Tata Punch EV Bharat NCAP: Child Occupant Protection
The crash test data shared on Bharat NCAP website indicates that the new 2026 Punch EV has scored 45 out of 49 points for Child Occupant Protection (COP). Here the 2026 Punch EV scored 24 out of 24 points in dynamic testing, 12 out of 12 points for CRS installation and 9 out of 13 points in Vehicle Assessment Score.
2026 Tata Punch EV: Safety Features
Tata Motors is synonymous with safety in the Indian market and the 2026 Punch EV is no exception with the electric SUV securing 5-stars in the recent Bharat NCAP crash tests. In terms of safety the 2026 Punch EV comes equipped with - 6-airbags, ESC, hill-hold assist, rear wiper and defogger, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD, hill descent control, ISOFIX mounts and more.
