CFMoto V4 SR-RR Unveiled at EICMA 2026, Gets 210bhp V4 Engine

Chinese motorcycle manufacturer CFMoto has taken the wraps off its most powerful supersport motorcycle yet, the V4 SR-RR, at EICMA 2026. The litre-class motorcycle has been spotted testing on race tracks and displayed in prototype form on several occasions. However, the latest unveiling gives us a closer look at the company's flagship performance machine, which is expected to compete with established superbikes from Ducati, BMW and Honda.
Key Highlights:
  • CFMoto V4 SR-RR officially unveiled at EICMA 2026.
  • Powered by a 997cc V4 engine producing 210bhp.
  • Gets active aerodynamic winglets and a claimed top speed of 315kmph.
  • Features Öhlins suspension, Brembo brakes and an optional Akrapovic exhaust.
With a powerful V4 engine, advanced aerodynamics and premium hardware, the CFMoto V4 SR-RR represents a major step forward for the Chinese manufacturer in the global superbike segment.

CFMoto V4 SR-RR: Engine and Performance

The CFMoto V4 SR-RR is powered by a 997cc, liquid-cooled, V4 engine that produces 210bhp. The motorcycle has a verified top speed of 315kmph, putting it among the fastest motorcycles in its category.
The engine uses counter-rotating crankshafts, a technology also seen in some high-performance motorcycles. CFMoto will also offer an optional Akrapovic titanium exhaust system, which increases the power output to 218bhp while reducing the overall weight. This exhaust system comes as standard on the track-only Carbon Black variant.
The motorcycle weighs 180kg (dry), making it a relatively lightweight offering in the litre-class supersport category.

CFMoto V4 SR-RR: Active Aerodynamics

One of the biggest talking points of the V4 SR-RR is its active aerodynamic system. While winglets and aerodynamic devices have become increasingly common on performance motorcycles, CFMoto has taken things a step further with movable front aero surfaces.
These aerodynamic elements can move up and down independently. According to the manufacturer, the system can generate up to 20 per cent more downforce at higher speeds. It is also designed to assist with direction changes at both high and low speeds.
The winglets can fold completely flat to reduce aerodynamic drag and improve acceleration. This makes the V4 SR-RR particularly interesting, as it brings active aerodynamics to a road-focused motorcycle.

CFMoto V4 SR-RR: Chassis, Suspension and Braking Hardware

The V4 SR-RR uses a front-frame chassis arrangement, which is similar in concept to the layout used on some Ducati superbikes. CFMoto has equipped the motorcycle with premium components from Öhlins and Brembo. It gets fully adjustable front and rear suspension from Öhlins, while Brembo HyPure calipers handle braking duties. Another interesting feature is the adjustable chassis geometry, which allows riders to customise the motorcycle's setup according to their riding preferences and requirements.
This level of adjustability could make the V4 SR-RR appealing to riders who regularly take their motorcycles to race tracks.

CFMoto V4 SR-RR: Launch Timeline and Rivals

CFMoto has not announced an official launch timeline for the V4 SR-RR. However, the motorcycle displayed at EICMA 2026 appears close to its production-ready form. The company has expanded its presence in international markets over the past few years, particularly in Europe and North America. Its manufacturing partnership with KTM has also helped strengthen its position in the global motorcycle industry.
Once launched, the V4 SR-RR is expected to compete with established litre-class superbikes, including the Ducati Panigale V4, Honda CBR1000RR-R and BMW S 1000 RR.
While its pricing, market availability and final production specifications are yet to be announced, the V4 SR-RR suggests that CFMoto is serious about entering the high-performance superbike space.
