Citroen e-C3X Teased Ahead of India Launch: Here's What to Expect

The Indian division of the French automaker Citroen has released a teaser of the upcoming e-C3X electric car. With this the automaker has hinted that the e-C3X is inching closer to its India launch. The updated EV is expected to adopt the eC3X nameplate, in line with the French carmaker's new nomenclature which we have previously seen with the C3X as well.

The teaser shared by the automaker on social media offers a glimpse of the car's revised styling. Although the overall silhouette remains familiar, the updated model is expected to get a redesigned front bumper featuring a silver skid-plate-inspired insert. The cosmetic refresh is also likely to include new LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, dual-tone alloy wheels and ORVMs with turn indicators. Citroen can also introduce new colour options with the e-C3X.

The cabin of the upcoming e-C3X is expected to receive a more substantial upgrade. Citroen is likely to add premium touches such as leatherette upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, while convenience features could include automatic climate control, cruise control, Type-C USB ports, fast charging, auto-dimming IRVM, ambient lighting, 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 360-degree camera, digital instrument cluster and more. On the safety front, the eC3X is expected to come equipped with 6-airbags, TPMS and more.

Mechanically, the e-C3X is likely to remain unchanged. The e-C3X is expected to continue with the existing 29.2 kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor producing around 56.22bhp and 143Nm of torque. The ongoing model boasts a claimed range of up to 246 km on a single charge, however Citroen can optimise the powertrain for an improved range.
