Citroen eC3 Retro Edition Debuts in Indonesia Motor Show with New Graphics and Cabin Updates

Citroen has pulled the wraps off a special eC3 Retro Edition at the 2026 Indonesia International Motor Show (GIIAS), giving its compact electric hatchback a nostalgic makeover. While the mechanicals are expected to remain unchanged, the limited-run model stands out with its retro-inspired exterior design and a more colourful cabin theme.
Key Highlights:
  • Citroen showcases the eC3 Retro Edition at the 2026 Indonesia International Motor Show (GIIAS).
  • Special edition gets a unique Mint Green paint scheme with retro-inspired styling elements.
  • Cabin receives exclusive multi-colour upholstery and ambient lighting.
  • Expected to retain the same 29.2kWh battery pack with a claimed 320km range.
The new edition appears to be aimed at buyers looking for a distinctive version of the eC3, with styling updates that pay homage to classic automobiles.

Retro Styling with Mint Green Finish

The biggest talking point of the Citroen eC3 Retro Edition is its Mint Green exterior paint, which is complemented by retro-style steel wheels with chrome hubcaps and whitewall tyres. These elements give the electric hatchback a classic appearance while retaining the familiar shape of the standard model.
Apart from these changes, the exterior remains largely unchanged. It continues to feature contrast-coloured skid plates, Citroen's signature X-shaped LED DRLs, body-coloured ORVMs and door handles, a contrasting white roof, C-shaped LED taillights, and a rear wiper with washer.

Cabin Gets a Colourful Makeover

Inside, the eC3 Retro Edition carries forward the vintage theme with a multi-colour dashboard finish and specially designed seat upholstery that combines colourful accents with black fabric.
Citroen has also added ambient lighting for the dashboard and footwell area, enhancing the cabin's overall appeal. The rest of the equipment list remains unchanged and includes a large touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, a three-spoke steering wheel, a gear toggle selector, power windows for all four doors, and fixed rear headrests.

Powertrain Expected to Remain Unchanged

Citroen has not revealed the technical specifications of the eC3 Retro Edition. However, it is expected to use the same 29.2kWh battery pack paired with a single electric motor.
In the India-spec model, this setup produces 56bhp and 143Nm of torque and delivers a claimed driving range of 320km on a single charge. Whether Citroen plans to introduce this Retro Edition in other markets, including India, remains to be seen.
