Ferrari Luce EV Sold Out for 2026 in Under 2 Months; Did Skeptics Underestimate the Electric Prancing Horse?
Ferrari's first all-electric production car, the Luce EV, has reportedly sold out its initial production allocation just under two months (six weeks) after its global debut. Despite facing criticism over its styling and the brand's shift towards electrification, the luxury carmaker has reportedly achieved its first-year sales target for the model, highlighting strong customer demand.
According to multiple media reports, Ferrari has already achieved its planned sales target for the Luce EV in 2026. While the company is yet to officially confirm production numbers, reports state that the Italian marque intended to sell just under 500 units during the first year of production.
Ferrari Luce EV: Social Media Reception vs Market Response
The Luce EV was unveiled on May 25, 2026, becoming Ferrari's first series-production battery-electric vehicle. Its launch marked one of the biggest changes in the company's history, replacing the traditional V8 and V12 soundtrack with an all-electric powertrain.

Although the model drew mixed reactions from enthusiasts due to its unconventional design and electric drivetrain, Ferrari maintained that customer interest remained strong. Reports suggest demand has been particularly healthy in China, one of the world's largest luxury EV markets.
Soon after the debut, Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna revealed that the company had already started receiving customer deposits for the Luce EV. He also stated that the model had attracted interest from existing Ferrari owners as well as new buyers entering the brand for the first time.
More recently, Ferrari's Global Marketing Director, Emanuele Carando, acknowledged that the company was surprised by the scale of the public backlash. However, he added that the strong response reflected the passion customers have for the Ferrari brand.
