Hero Glamour X 125 with ABS Launched at Rs 1.01 Lakh; Gets Two New Colour Options
Indian automaker Hero MotoCorp has launched an ABS-equipped version of the Glamour X 125 in India. The new Hero Glamour X 125 ABS is priced at Rs 1.01 lakh (ex-showroom) and gets a single-channel anti-lock braking system along with an Integrated Braking System (IBS). The new Glamour X 125 ABS has become the most expensive variant of the motorcycle. Apart from the addition of ABS there are no other mechanical changes in the motorcycle.
Hero Glamour X 125 ABS: Price & Colour Options
The ABS-equipped Glamour X 125 is priced at Rs 1.01 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is positioned above the existing Drum and Disc variants.
For reference, the Glamour X 125 Drum is priced at Rs 89,999, while the Disc version costs Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This puts the new ABS variant Rs 1,002 above the Disc version.
The motorcycle is available in four colour options - Gun Metal Grey, Matt Axis Grey, Black Pearl Red and Black Teal Blue. The Gun Metal Grey and Matt Axis Grey are new additions to the colour palette.
Hero Glamour X 125 ABS: Braking
The main update on the new Glamour X 125 ABS variant is the addition of single-channel ABS. The system operates on the front wheel and is designed to reduce the chances of wheel lock-up during hard braking. The ABS is combined with an Integrated Braking System. IBS links the front and rear brakes, distributing braking force between both wheels when the brakes are applied. Hero MotoCorp claims that the Glamour X 125 is the first motorcycle in the 125cc segment to feature single-channel ABS together with IBS. The motorcycle also retains Panic Brake Alert and hazard lamps.
Hero Glamour X 125: Design
The addition of ABS does not bring any significant styling changes to the Glamour X 125. The motorcycle continues with its existing design and full-LED lighting setup.
Hero Glamour X 125: Powertrain
The Glamour X 125 continues to use a 124.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled petrol engine. It produces 11.4bhp and 10.5Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. It also gets three riding modes - Eco, Road and Power. Cruise control is another feature available on the motorcycle. The system allows the rider to maintain a set speed without continuously operating the throttle.
Hero Glamour X 125: Features
The motorcycle gets a 4.2-inch colour TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. The system supports turn-by-turn navigation and displays call and SMS alerts. Other features include full-LED lighting, a USB Type-C charging port and two under-seat mobile storage compartments. The feature list remains largely unchanged with the introduction of the ABS variant.
