Honda Cars India Posts Growth in Monthly Sales for March 2026; Exports Drop

The India passenger car division of the Japanese automaker Honda has shared its monthly sales data for March 2026. The data shared by the company revealed that Honda Cars India managed to sell over ten thousand units of passenger vehicles in March 2026.

In March 2026 Honda managed to sell a total of 10,036 units of passenger vehicles (including PVs sold domestically plus exports from India). This sales figure marks a fall in year-on-year total monthly passenger vehicle sales by 1,848 units which further translates into 15.55 percent decline in year-on-year total monthly passenger vehicle sales. In March 2025 Honda posted total passenger vehicle sales of 11,884 units.

Last month Honda sold 7,585 units of passenger vehicles in the Indian domestic market. This sales figure indicates a year-on-year increase in monthly domestic passenger vehicles sales by 357 units which further translates into 4.93 percent growth in year-on-year monthly domestic passenger vehicle sales. In March 2025 Honda posted domestic passenger vehicle sales of 7,228 units.

In March 2026 Honda exported 2,451 units of passenger vehicles from India. This indicates a year-on-year fall in monthly passenger vehicle exports by 2,205 units which further translates into a 47.35 percent year-on-year decline in monthly passenger vehicle exports. In March 2025 Honda exported 4,656 units of passenger vehicles from India.
