The Hyundai Bayon comes with a 1.5-litre MPi naturally aspirated petrol engine across all variants. A 6-speed manual gearbox is available throughout the range, while the IVT automatic transmission is offered on selected trims, starting with the HX5.
This gives buyers the option to choose between a manual gearbox for greater control and an automatic transmission for convenience in city traffic.
Hyundai Bayon: Features
Feature availability depends on the selected variant. Depending on the trim, the Bayon offers LED lighting elements, 17-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, wireless smartphone charging and dual-zone automatic climate control.
Selected variants also get dual 12.3-inch displays for the infotainment system and instrument cluster, a Bose premium sound system, Hyundai Bluelink connected car technology and over-the-air updates. A built-in dashcam, rear window sunshades and Level 2 ADAS are also available on selected trims.
Dual-tone exterior options are offered on select variants and carry a price premium over their corresponding single-tone versions.
The HX2 manual variant is the most affordable option in the lineup, with an ex-showroom price of Rs 9.99 lakh. Buyers looking for more features can consider the higher HX variants, while those who prefer an automatic gearbox can choose the IVT versions.
The top-spec HX10 IVT DT is priced at Rs 18.14 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most expensive variant in the range.
Buyers should compare the equipment offered by each trim, along with their preferred transmission and exterior colour options, before making a purchase decision.
