Isuzu Expands D-MAX Range With New Cab-Chassis Variant

Isuzu Motors India has introduced a new Cab-Chassis variant to its D-MAX commercial vehicle lineup. The Isuzu D-MAX 1.7 Single Cab Cab-Chassis Std model aims to provide a flexible platform for custom-built applications in various commercial sectors. The introductory price for the D-MAX Single Cab 1.7 Cab-Chassis Std is set at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai). Bookings for the new variant have commenced, with deliveries expected to begin shortly.

The new variant is designed to cater to industries requiring adaptable vehicle solutions, such as perishables, FMCG, food and catering, and last-mile delivery. Customers will have the option to modify the vehicle's load-body according to specific business needs.

The D-MAX 1.7 Cab-Chassis Std is powered by a 2.5L ISUZU 4JA1 engine. The vehicle features a robust design with a high-tensile steel cab, offering enhanced safety and durability. Its chassis is built on an iGRIP framework.

The model includes features aimed at driver comfort and safety, such as high-quality fabric upholstery, height-adjustable seat belts and a Multi-Information Display (MID) with a Gear Shift Indicator (GSI). The suspension system, features independent coil springs in the front and rigid leaf springs at the rear, provides stability during operation.

In terms of safety, the D-MAX 1.7 offers several protections, including front and rear crumple zones, a cross-car front beam, door side intrusion bars, a collapsible steering column, and underbody steel protection. Additionally, the Brake Override System (BOS) is incorporated to enhance braking safety by cutting engine power in emergency situations where both brake and accelerator pedals are pressed simultaneously.
