Jawa 42 All Stars: Design Updates
The Jawa 42 All Stars Edition receives several styling changes over the outgoing model. The motorcycle gets new colour options and graphics, along with redesigned front and rear fenders. The side covers have also been updated. The exhaust now gets an upswept design, similar to the one seen on the Jawa 42 FJ. The motorcycle also features a new alloy wheel design, giving it a fresher look.
One of the biggest changes is the use of wider tyres. The new 42 gets a 100/90-18 front tyre and a 150/70-17 rear tyre, compared to the 90/90 front and 120/80 rear tyres on the previous model. The wider rubber gives the motorcycle a more muscular appearance and a wider footprint.
Despite getting wider tyres and styling updates, the Jawa 42 All Stars Edition weighs 175 kg, which is lower than the outgoing model's 182-184 kg kerb weight. The seat height has increased from 788mm to 795mm. Jawa has also made changes to the saddle, claiming improved comfort for riders.
The suspension setup and disc brakes remain unchanged. However, dual-channel ABS is now offered as standard. The motorcycle continues to use a 13.2-litre fuel tank.
Jawa 42 All Stars Edition: Engine
The updated Jawa 42 continues with the same 295cc engine as the outgoing motorcycle. It produces 26.8bhp and 26.3Nm of peak torque and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. While the engine has not received major changes, the lower kerb weight and wider tyres could make the updated motorcycle feel different from its predecessor.
Jawa 42 All Stars: Price and Delivery Details
The Jawa 42 All Stars Edition is priced from Rs 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom). Jawa will also continue to offer the standard 42 in an Ivory and Black colour scheme, which is priced at Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom). Deliveries of the Jawa 42 All Stars Edition are scheduled to begin from September 15.
