Jeep Wrangler Mojito Edition Teased Ahead Of India Launch; Pre-Bookings Open

Jeep India has teased the Wrangler Mojito Edition ahead of its expected launch in the country. This special edition of the Wrangler gets the distinctive Mojito green exterior finish, which has previously been offered on the Wrangler in international markets. The company is yet to announce the launch date, pricing and other details of the India-spec model.

Jeep India dropped a teaser of the Wrangler Mojito Edition on its social media handles and has listed the SUV on its India website as well. Jeep is expected to position the new version as a limited-run special edition, although the number of units planned for India has not been confirmed.

Jeep India has kicked open pre-bookings for the Wrangler Mojito Edition on its official website. However, there is no official confirmation for offline bookings via Jeep dealerships yet.

The key visual change on the upcoming Wrangler Mojito Edition is its green exterior colour. The shade has been associated with special versions of the Wrangler in overseas markets. Details listed on the website outlines that this special edition Jeep will get electrically adjustable seats, heavy-duty Dana 44HD full-float rear axle, standard side and curtain airbags,12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ADAS, Corning Gorilla Glass windshield, white strip 1941 decal, 4 wheel drive decal, body coloured fender flares, bright white front grille surround, bright white roof, 32-inch tyres, stronger axle tubes, larger brakes, steel skid plate, connected car features and more.

The Jeep Wrangler sold in India is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 270hp and 400Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Wrangler is offered with a four-wheel-drive (4WD) system, while the Rubicon variant gets additional off-road hardware, including the Rock-Trac 4x4 system and locking differentials. The India-spec Wrangler is assembled locally at Jeep's manufacturing facility in Ranjangaon, Maharashtra.

The Jeep Wrangler Mojito Edition is expected to be launched in India with a starting ex-showroom price tag of around Rs 85 lakh. Jeep hasn’t revealed the launch date of the Wrangler Mojito Edition for the Indian market yet but it is expected to launch in the festive season this year.
