Addition of BPCL charging points
As part of the partnership, over 3,000 BPCL-operated EV charging points will be integrated into Kia’s K-Charge network. With this addition, the total number of public charging points available through the platform has crossed 15,000 nationwide.
Use of K-Charge platform
K-Charge is available on the MyKia mobile app and the Kia India website. It helps users find nearby charging stations, get directions and pay for charging from one platform. The system reduces the need to use different charging apps or services.
Context of EV adoption
Charging availability continues to be a key factor for electric vehicle users in India. The expanded network is intended to support daily commuting as well as long-distance travel by improving access to public charging infrastructure.

Kia India currently offers electric models including the Carens Clavis EV, which is produced in India, along with global models such as the EV6 and EV9. The charging network expansion aligns with the company’s broader electric vehicle rollout in the country.
Atul Sood, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Kia India, said, “Convenience and confidence are critical to EV adoption. Through this partnership with BPCL, we are making EV ownership more practical and stress-free for our customers by expanding charging access at scale.
