Kia Sorento SUV Launched in India: Top 5 Highlights

The Kia Sorento has been launched in India in an ex-showroom price range of Rs 27.99 lakh to Rs 40.19 lakh. The Sorento has been introduced in six variants HTE, HTE(O), HTK, HTK(A), HTX and HTX(A). The Sorento HTK(A), HTX (AWD) and HTX(A) AWD are also available in Black Line trims.

Kia India has introduced the Sorento with two powertrain options - a petrol hybrid and a diesel. The petrol hybrid powertrain consists of a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol engine that generates 178bhp and 265Nm of torque while the electric motor generates 64bhp and 264Nm of torque. This powertrain is mated to a 6-speed AT. The diesel version gets a 2.2-litre engine producing 190bhp and 442Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 8-speed DCT.

Both powertrains are available in front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive trims. The Sorento also gets Normal, Eco, Sport and Smart drive modes, along with Snow, Sand and Mud terrain modes.

The Kia Sorento is being offered in the Indian market with two seating configurations. The 7-seater version gets a conventional second-row bench, while the 6-seater version comes with second-row captain seats.

The Sorento gets features like - 12.3-inch digital infotainment system, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, HUD, wireless charging, electric tailgate, 12-speaker Bose sound system, Kia AI assistant, vertically stacked LED headlights, Y-shaped LED DRLs, Tiger Nose grille, 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and more

On the safety front the Sorento gets 10-airbags, digital inside rear-view mirror, front and rear dashcams, automatic parking system, Level 2+ ADAS, and more.
