Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift Mileage Explained: Complete Variant-Wise Fuel Efficiency
Maruti Suzuki has revealed the complete fuel efficiency figures for the new Brezza facelift and the updated compact SUV brings improvements across every powertrain. While the refreshed styling, larger touchscreen and feature additions are likely to grab attention, the biggest gain for everyday buyers comes in the form of better mileage.
Key Highlights:
- New 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine delivers up to 20.47 kmpl
- 1.5-litre petrol manual remains the most fuel-efficient at 21.09 kmpl
- Factory-fitted CNG version now returns 26.90 km/kg, up from 25.51 km/kg
- Every powertrain is now more fuel-efficient than the outgoing Brezza
New 1.0-Litre Boosterjet Turbo Petrol Debuts
For the first time, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza gets a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine, borrowed from the Fronx. The new engine is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox.
Its certified fuel efficiency figures are:
- LXI & VXI: 20.47 kmpl
- ZXI & ZXI+: 19.96 kmpl
1.5-litre Petrol Still Offers the Best Mileage
Despite the arrival of the turbo engine, the familiar 1.5-litre K15C naturally aspirated petrol engine continues to deliver the best fuel efficiency in the range.
Certified mileage figures are:
- Manual (LXI & VXI): 21.09 kmpl
- Manual (ZXI): 20.81 kmpl
- Automatic (VXI, ZXI & ZXI+): 20.17 kmpl
Mileage Improves Over the Outgoing Brezza
The facelifted Brezza also improves upon the fuel efficiency of the outgoing model.
The previous Brezza delivered:
- 1.5-litre Manual: 19.89 kmpl
- 1.5-litre Automatic: 19.80 kmpl
CNG Variant Registers the Biggest Improvement
The factory-fitted S-CNG version sees the largest jump in efficiency. The updated Brezza CNG now delivers 26.90 km/kg, compared to 25.51 km/kg in the outgoing model.
Another important update is the adoption of an underbody-mounted CNG tank, similar to the one used in the Maruti Suzuki Victoris. This frees up luggage space that was previously occupied by the CNG cylinder, making the SUV more practical without compromising fuel efficiency.
What Has Improved the Efficiency?
Maruti Suzuki continues to offer its mild-hybrid technology on the petrol-powered Brezza. Features such as idle start-stop, brake energy regeneration and torque assist help improve fuel economy, while further refinements to the powertrains have also contributed to the better efficiency figures.
With the 2026 Brezza facelift, buyers now get a wider range of powertrain options along with improved mileage across petrol, turbo-petrol and CNG versions, making the compact SUV an even stronger proposition for those prioritising lower running costs.
