Maruti Suzuki Fronx Crosses 5 Lakh Production Milestone in India

The best-selling carmaker in India, Maruti Suzuki has today announced that its crossover’ish’ SUV, Fronx has crossed the 5 lakh production mark in the country. The Fronx has achieved this feat in a time period of about 29 months.

Maruti Suzuki first showcased the Fronx at the Indian Auto Expo in 2023, following which the production for this car commenced later that year in March. The Fronx was then launched in the domestic market in April 2023 and the deliveries for the same commenced in May.

The Fronx reached the 1 lakh units production mark by December 2023, 2 lakh units production mark by June 2024, 3 lakh units production mark by November 2024, 4 lakh units production mark by February 2025 and has now 5 lakh units production mark in August 2025. Maruti Suzuki recorded the best-ever monthly sales for Fronx in February 2025, where it clocked 21,400 units.

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx not only caters to the Indian market but is also a part of the company’s export portfolio. The company commenced export of the Fronx back in its launch year itself and is currently exported from India to global markets like - Japan, Middle East, Africa and Latin America.
